The Messermeister Asian Precision 10-1/2-inch Takobiki or Takohiki is a long, narrow, single edge blade with a blunt tip. The blunt tipped sashimi knife originated in the Tokyo region and allows a chef to cut cooked octopus (it curls when cooked) without damaging the uncooked section. It also is used for any straight cut sashimi and meat with skin.
